Governance

The Partnership is governed by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Each council is responsible for leading one of the Partnership’s core themes. AHRC leads conflict, EPSRC leads cybersecurity and transnational organised crime is led by ESRC.

The Strategic Approach outlines the objectives of the Partnership and its core principles.

The Partnership is overseen by the Cross Council Strategic Group.

Cross Council Strategic Group

The Cross Council Strategic Group is responsible for the development and implementation of the overarching strategy and research priorities for the Partnership, with input from the Strategic Advisory Group.

The Arts and Humanities Research Council, Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Economic and Social Research Council are core members.

The Biotechnology and Biosciences Research Council, Medical Research Council, Science and Technology Facilities Council and Innovate UK are affiliated members.

Until 2018, advice to the Partnership’s strategy and thematic areas was also overseen by a Strategic Advisory Group, which was comprised of both academic and non-academic members.
