Identifying and Mitigating Unwanted Hostile Drone Activity Seminar

Identifying and Mitigating Unwanted Hostile Drone Activity Seminar

10.00 – 16.00, Friday 16, October 2015

The Home Office Centre for Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is working with the Security Innovation and Demonstration Centre (SIDC) to investigate various equipment or technology that could be deployed to identify and mitigate unwanted, intrusive or hostile activities by drones.

SIDC invites you to attend a seminar and workshop event for those affected, manufacturers and researchers to shape this important work.

The seminar will have speakers from the police, government and industry who will outline the current threat faced from drones, discuss existing technology and outline opportunities for exploiting this equipment in the security industry.

The workshops will encourage delegates to discuss the requirements, giving the opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss problems and to suggest potential solutions.

Following the event, we hope that the delegates will understand enough of the problems discussed to be able to develop or provide equipment for CAST to assess against the requirements in early 2016.

This is the leading event for senior security professionals looking to meet with product and service providers in the Drone identification and mitigation industry and companies with appropriate technologies.

To register your attendance at this event, please email SIDC@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk by 30 September 2015 and include the text ‘Drone Workshop’ in the subject line.
