Online cybersecurity database launched

The Partnership for Conflict, Crime and Security Research has partnered with Crossword Cybersecurity to build and launch a comprehensive online database of cybersecurity projects taking place across UK universities.

CLUE, the cybersecurity research database, covers nearly 300 cyber security research projects from over 50 UK universities, representing over £150m of research grant investment since 2007. It provides industry with a searchable view of the UK’s cyber security academic research landscape to enable organisations to collaborate with academia more effectively.

The Partnership and Crossword are making CLUE freely available to all organisations to encourage and facilitate technology transfer and commercialisation of research in the cyber security sector.

Tom Ilube, Crossword’s CEO said “British Universities are conducting world class cyber security research. Crossword wants to showcase this great research to encourage industry collaboration.”

“Creating CLUE with Crossword and making it freely available enables the Partnership to help researchers deliver impact beyond the academic community into industry, government and the third sector” commented Dr Tristram Riley-Smith, External Champion to the Partnership.
