What are your research interests? We at the Security and Development programme of the IISS are interested in the intersection of peace and conflict with urban studies. Main research interests:
– Responses to armed violence in cities within fragile or conflict-afflicted regions;
– Disruption and resilience in contexts of large forced displacement into cities;
– Seeking an updated framework for the concept of urban warfare, using a multidisciplinary lens and drawing from urban studies, the emerging field of urban resilience, alongside peace and conflict studies.
