PhD Studentship: Centre for Research and Evidence on Security Threats

The Centre for Research and Evidence on Security Threats (CREST) and the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) at the University of St Andrews is seeking candidates for two PhD studentships on violent extremism in a social context. One studentship will focus on loyalty in violent movements, while the other will focus on masculinities and extremism.

The studentships will be supervised by Dr. Sarah Marsden and will begin in October 2021.
