DARPA Next Generation Social Science (NGS2) Proposers Day

DARPA Next Generation Social Science (NGS2) Proposers Day

we are pleased to announce that The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) anticipates releasing a Broad Agency Announcement for its new Next Generation Social Science (NGS2) program in coming weeks. The program aims to build and evaluate new methods and tools to advance rigorous, reproducible social science studies at scales necessary to develop and validate causal models of human social behaviors.

As an initial focus, NGS2 will challenge researchers to develop and use these new tools and methods to identify causal mechanisms of “collective identity” formation.

About the Event

DARPA will be holding a Proposers Day event on 22 March 2016 to provide information to potential proposers on the objectives of the planned program. Even though the event is taking place in the Washington Metropolitan Area, a webcast will also be available.

Please note that advance registration is required for attending the Proposers Day via the physical meeting and for viewing the webcast. Interested parties must register through this website by clicking on the “New Registration” button.

The deadline to register for either is Friday 18 March at 12:00 PM
