Funded PhD Opportunity: Cyber Security at Bristol

The University of Bristol is now accepting applications for its 4-year interdisciplinary PhD program at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cyber Security. The programme begins in September 2020, and applications for funded places will close on 6 January 2020, at the latest. Early application submission is strongly recommended as the programme will close once all available places are filled. Positions which are fully funded include an £18,000 tax-free stipend per year for living expenses, tuition fees at UK/EU student rates, and equipment and travel allowance to support research related activities. This funding, provided through EPSRC, is contingent upon students meeting EPSRC residency requirements.

The University of Bristol’s work on cybersecurity and cryptography in large-scale infrastructures is housed inside one of the UK’s three research institutes on cybersecurity, an EPSRC-NCSC Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research. Within this set of research institutes, Bristol leads efforts to develop a cybersecurity body of knowledge.
