PhD Studentship – Youth, Disability and the Humanitarian-Development Nexus

Oxford Brookes University is seeking candidates for a PhD studentship which will focus on the capacity and barriers facing young people with disabilities who seek to become change-makers and active contributors to the SDG goals.

The successful candidate will have a Masters in related subject (e.g. disability, development, sociology, geography, anthropology, humanitarian), demonstrate strong interdisciplinary research capabilities, and fluent spoken and written English. They will be expected to complete the PhD thesis within 3 years. 

To apply, you will have to submit a CV, covering letter, and a research proposal which explores clear research aims/questions, justification for study, some overview of existing literature, description of methodology and a timeline.
